Valence
TGV train station is located 12 kms north of the city, almost
in the centre of a triangle formed by Romans, Valence and Tain l’Hermitage
(called “Rovaltain”).
The
journey to Paris takes 2 hours 10 minutes and to Marseilles 1 hour.
The
regional trains (TER) from the station take you directly
to Grenoble to the north and Valence to the south. The A7 motorway takes
you south through Montélimar and north through Lyons. To the east,
the A49 motorway connects Grenoble to the Savoy area, the Alps and is
an easy route to the ski resorts.
The
Valence TGV station receives an average of 30 trains a day transporting
a total of 1 300 000 travellers a year. Resolutely modern in architecture,
it blends perfectly into the landscape.
